8 BALL & MJG
8 ball & MJG are two of the pioneers that helped establish the South’s dominance in the Hip Hop game. They began in the southern underground circuit in Memphis, Tennessee. By shopping their tapes in major cities like Memphis, Houston and Atlanta they landed their first deal with an independent label named Suave House Records. They parted ways with Suave House in 1999 and signed with Bad Boy Records in 2002. They recently recorded the smash radio hit with Three 6 Mafia, “Stay Fly.” 8 ball and MJG have been leaders in the industry over the years, and as they continue to contribute to the evolution of music we took some time to talk to them about their current work while they were with us in the studio...
